Our Mission is Empowering women and girls to realize their full potential through programs that promote
gender equality, social justice, and economic stability.
St. Philomena Women Development Association is a grassroots non-profit organization registered in
Uganda in 2018. Our mission is to empower adolescent girls and young women socially and
economically.
Our activities aim at improving their welfare in western Uganda especially in Rwenzori region where
women face many challenges in relation to development.

We train girls the hands on skills that help them get small scale income that helps them to earn a living.
We sensitize the community and create awareness on the spread of HIV and guide on the protection measures
Girls were not given the same priority of Education as boys and we came in to change the mindset of people on girl child Education.
Girls used to leave school as teenagers and end up being young mothers after being dump by the men who made them mothers.
